Incredible $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts through early December. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
